what we offer

Liberty Netball Club is an affiliated member as part of The Success Netball Association. We train and compete at The Success Regional Sporting Facility during the winter netball season from March to September. We train on Mondays and compete on Saturdays.

Liberty is a fun, inclusive and innovative netball club environment catering to all abilities and individual needs. Our club offers the following to our members:

- Division 1 opportunities for players looking to extend their netball skills, supporting and educating them on the development pathways through SNA and Netball WA, including preparing for representative trials. In 2023 our Opens Division 1 team made the grand final and our top 20/U team made it to the semi finals.

- Assistance for participation in tournaments, either through fundraising, equipment, uniform or monetary contributions to teams/players looking to participate in tournaments locally or overseas. Liberty has had players participate in WA state teams, local tournaments and international tournaments.  We encourage and support all players wanting to trial for the SNA representative teams.

- Social division nominations for players wanting to play socially and with friends. These teams are not required to trial and grading is to ensure new and existing members are able to shuffle grades if necessary. We offer whole team registrations if there is room to cater for them.

- Net player program for beginner netballers. We offer a Liberty Legends program for beginner netballers not yet ready to play competitive Saturday netball and is all about fun and friends. This is a program that runs alongside winter training on Monday afternoons and caters to ages 5-10.

- Pathway assistance for coaches. We support upskilling and accreditation when volunteering to coach a Liberty team. Our coaches are supported with resources, access to a club funded netball app and all coaches are given a free club shirt. All coaches at Liberty are expected to complete their Foundation Coaching Accreditation at a minimum and hold a current Working With Children Check.

- Pathway assistance for umpires. We offer assistance to our umpires in completing their badging/ accreditations. We provide support to new umpires wanting to learn and also offer mature age umpire pathway programs within the SNA system. Our umpires are paid and supported through the club and teams are not required to find and fund their own team umpires.

- We cater to all ages and abilities. Liberty currently represents at SNA in all divisions from Net Set Go to Walking Netball. Our youngest member is 5 and out oldest member is 68! We also have an opens men's team! Liberty also support any members with disabilities wanting to get amongst the netball action by assisting in registering for the SNA No Limits program.

- Members are encouraged to connect socially and have fun outside of the netball courts. We offer a range of social events over the year including pre-season fitness sessions, fundraising nights, end of year club funded wind up, parent vs player game nights or after game catch ups at The Last Drop. We are a family friendly club and welcome all young children.

- We have a strong commitment to skill sharing within the club. Members are encouraged to reach out if they have a skill/business that may be of value to our club. Currently we have partnerships with local Physiotherapists, real estate agents, celebrants, car mechanical workshops, mechanical hire, plumbers, Chiropractors, First Aid Responders and Personal Trainers.
